Mental Health Responder

Nancy Barisoa Andriamiarimbola

(she/her)

Madagascar

I joined the ChangemakerXchange community during the Changemakers for the Planet Summit in Rwanda in 2023. In 2024, I stepped into facilitation through the CXC Training of Trainers in Italy and further strengthened my practice by completing the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program with CXC, which I see as essential for creating inclusive, caring and psychologically safe learning spaces. I also supported the facilitation team during the preparation phase of Changemakers for the Planet in Nigeria.

I have facilitated and moderated a range of international and regional spaces, including the Global Landscapes Forum’s Landscapes Leadership Camp in Kenya (2024), youth sessions at UNCCD COP16 in Saudi Arabia (2024), Youth Day session at the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN-20) in Kenya, a world cafe session at the 4th Intergenerational Dialogue of COMESA in Mauritius, the African WHRD Convention in Botswana, youth side events and declaration launch at UNCCD CRIC23 in Panama and a university dialogue during the 9th Pan-African Congress in Togo.

I’m very passionate about holding space that supports participation, reflection and collective learning as a facilitator. I see facilitation as sense-making work that helps participants engage more deeply and experience learning in ways that feel meaningful, human and empowering!
