Steve Misati

Kenya

Jambo! I’m Steve. I’m still learning every day, and I love sharing that journey in spaces with other learners. I facilitate because I love the magic that happens when people come together to share, think, feel, co-create and grow. I have been holding space for topics close to my heart: the environment, the communities, and even myself. And my style? Well, my style is warm, light, present and unhurried. Taking it a minute at a time.

When I am not facilitating, you’ll probably find me somewhere learning more about the ocean and all that it holds, if I am not already near it. Or maybe leading on some conservation works with my awesome team at Youth Pawa, or cooking, or travelling, or cycling. I do believe the best spaces are those which leave everyone feeling a little more at home. I’d love to continue keeping it that way.

Testimonials

“Steve held space for deep Doughnut Economics dialogue where we wrestled with tough trade offs. It was even surprising when he started by acknowledging that he was also new to the topic though he did nail it. He had done his research well, presented some drawings he had sketched for the session and also allowed us share our real life scenarios to better understand DE. It was really one of the best conversations I have had for this January.”

“Working with Steve felt like being given permission to be fully human. He facilitated our TRP’s resilience circle on eco-anxiety and healing through nature with so much care. I felt seen and heard through the monthly sessions. To date, I usually go back to the small rituals we developed.”

— Participant from The Resilience Project’s 2025 Resilience Circle

“He really did turn a room of strangers into friends talking about frontline environmental and climate impacts and what we can do about them. Kept it grounded and open. I am still carrying with me the connections we made.”
