Our mission

Our mission is to equip purpose- and impact-driven organisations, communities, and networks with the knowledge and skills to facilitate in ways that cultivate meaningful connections, peer-learning, collaboration, and wellbeing. We consider these the basis for creating positive transformation and thriving teams and communities.

Who we are

The Facilitators is a global network, knowledge hub, training platform, and provider of innovative and participatory facilitation. At our heart is a growing community of 100 purpose driven facilitators who we co-create and deliver most of our activities with, and who ensure we stay true to our mission. The Facilitators is run by a small but mighty team and powered by ChangemakerXchange, a global support network and ecosystem for changemakers.

Examples of partnerships
and collaborations

Facilitation and network weaving within the Bosch Alumni Network (BAN)

We moderated the Social Innovation Cluster, and hosted learning series and conversations for the 8,500+ BAN members. This also led to the creation of the Abundance Fellowship, a 3-month deep dive for changemakers to regenerate their relationship with money – now evolving into a stand-alone, members-led collective.

Facilitation of a strategy process for Drosos Foundation

We accompanied Drosos Foundation in a strategy process to re-define their activities in the field of social entrepreneurship. The project included surveys among key stakeholders, the moderation of several advisory board sessions, the synthesis of all findings and preparation of a report and suggestions for the Foundation’s board.

Facilitation of an accelerator programme for SOS Children’s Villages

We designed a bespoke online accelerator programme for 35 young changemakers, as well as selected youth workers, from the SOS Children’s Villages network. Through a combination of participatory sessions, we helped participants build their identity as changemakers as well as their capacity to create impact.

Consultation and facilitation at Ashoka’s Europe Changemaker Summit

We consulted the organising team of Ashoka’s Changemaker Summit in Barcelona, Spain, to add meaningful interactions and stimulating peer-learning during the two-day conference. Additionally, we recruited 10 facilitators to curate activities to promote bonding and networking, as well as peer-learning among participants.

Training on facilitation and community building for Project Together

We crafted and facilitated customised in-person training sessions on facilitation and community building for senior staff and team members at Project Together. Additionally, we hosted and facilitated a 3-day retreat for 25 climate innovators within the Project Together community.

Consultation and facilitation at The Renaissance Awards

We consulted the organising team of The Renaissance Awards 2022 in Florence, Italy, to learn from our best practices in hosting. Additionally, we facilitated “The Possibilists Day”, a day-long learning journey for young changemakers to (re)connect with themselves and others and tap into the collective intelligence of the group.
